Information You Create and Store in the AppDepending on how you use Sanctuary, the app may store the following information locally on your device:- Onboarding selections and preferences
- Daily planner items and schedule data
- Prayer requests, answered prayers, and archived prayers
- Scripture reading progress
- Saved verses and highlights
- Reflection and journal-style text you enter
- Notification and reminder preferences
- Appearance and app settings
- Sermon recording metadata and audio files, if you choose to use the recording featureThis information is intended to support the app’s core functionality for you.3. How We Use InformationSanctuary uses information stored in the app to:- Restore your planner and devotional content
- Remember your reading progress and saved verses
- Display and organize your prayer and reflection entries
- Schedule reminders and notifications you choose to enable
- Maintain your preferred app settings and appearance
- Support optional premium purchase access through Apple’s in-app purchase systemsWe use this information to operate the app’s features for you. We do not use your devotional content to create a public profile or social identity inside the app.4. Local Storage and Data HandlingSanctuary is designed to store core user-created content locally on your device.Based on the current version of the app, prayer entries, planner content, saved verses, reflections, reading progress, and similar devotional content are not intended to be publicly shared through the app.5. PermissionsNotifications
Sanctuary may request permission to send notifications if you choose reminder-related features. If enabled, notifications may be used for prayer reminders, Scripture reminders, evening reflections, and church-related reminder features you turn on.Microphone
Sanctuary may request microphone access only if you choose to use the sermon recording feature. Microphone access is not requested for unrelated app features.6. Purchases and Apple ServicesIf you purchase a subscription or other in-app product, payment processing and transaction handling are performed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.We do not receive or store your full payment card details.Apple may process information such as:- Purchase status
- Subscription status
- Transaction records
- Product entitlement informationYour use of Apple’s payment systems is also subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.7. Sharing and DisclosureWe do not sell your personal information.We do not intentionally share your planner entries, prayer entries, saved verses, reflections, or recordings with other users through the app.We may rely on Apple platform services that are necessary for the app to function, such as notification delivery and in-app purchase infrastructure.If our data practices change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or at the time those changes are introduced.8. Data RetentionYour in-app content generally remains stored on your device until:- You delete it within the app
- You use the app’s reset or deletion features
- You remove the app from your device
- The underlying local app data is otherwise removed from your deviceIf you use sermon recording features, locally stored recordings may remain on device until deleted by you or removed through app reset or deletion.9. Your ChoicesYou may control your information in the following ways:- Edit or remove planner, prayer, and reflection content within the app
- Disable notifications in the app and/or in your device settings
- Decline microphone permission or revoke it later in device settings
- Delete local app data using the in-app reset/delete option
- Remove the app from your device10. Children’s PrivacySanctuary is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through online account registration, public posting, or social networking features.If you believe sensitive information has been entered into the app in error, you may remove it directly on the device or use the in-app deletion/reset function.11. SecurityWe take reasonable steps to design Sanctuary in a privacy-conscious manner. However, no device, software environment, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device, including any device passcode, biometric lock, backups, or account protections available to you.12. International UseIf you use Sanctuary outside the United States, you understand that information handled by Apple platform services may be subject to the laws and infrastructure applicable to those services.13. Changes to This Privacy PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
